Milam’s Markets – Local Partner Spotlight

Milam’s Markets is a family-owned grocer in South Florida and has been a neighborhood staple for more than 40 years. In addition to providing groceries to residents, Milam’s has always been there to serve the community in a time of need, giving back in many ways. From May 20 to June 13, Milam’s Markets will be collecting donations at the registers to benefit Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital serves a diverse patient population, with nearly 70% of families who are covered by Medicaid. Nicklaus Children’s is South Florida’s only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children, with nearly 800 attending physicians and more than 475 pediatric subspecialists.

We do our best to meet patient needs, ensuring we deliver the best care for every child every day – but we rely on donations and community support to make it happen!

Donations made during this month’s Milam’s Market campaign will support our work to provide pediatric healthcare to our patients, including the uninsured and underserved. Last year, in the midst of the pandemic, Milam’s Markets raised nearly $40,000 to benefit Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and we are excited to see how far they come in 2021.
