J.J. Barea played golf to change kids’ health and change the future — read more about his experience
On April 22 at 8 pm ET tune in to watch J.J. Barea go head-to-head with fellow athletes and entertainers in a series of golf challenges as they raise critical funds needed for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital , a member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Nile was born prematurely with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, curved spine (scoliosis), absent right ear, coloboma of his left eye and tethered cord. Nile embodies resilience and nothing seems to bring him, or his smile, down. He doesn’t complain through the many surgeries, braces, tests or procedures.
His perseverance has taught countless people in his life how to be strong and continue to look towards a brighter future. Donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fund treatments, equipment and services to help kids like Nile unlock a world of possibility.
The players are championing to change kids’ health during this year’s Ace Shootout to raise critical funds for the local member hospitals to ensure children can lead healthy, fulfilling lives while also fostering the builders and creators of tomorrow.
We asked J.J. Barea about their experience playing in the Ace Shootout benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
“I’m so grateful for the chance to play a game that brings people together for a good cause.” Said J.J. Barea “Being able to meet Haumea, learn her story and do even more for kids like her for my local children’s hospital, is a win, win, win opportunity. I believe we need to do more for children’s hospitals because kids can’t wait!”
Children are at the center of everything we do, and a strong foundation for their tomorrow needs to start today. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals see what the future can be, and with support from Ace Hardware and their vendor partners, we can ensure that it becomes a reality.
Will J.J. Barea be crowned the 2024 Ace Shootout Champion? Tune in to find out on April 22 at 8 pm ET on Golf Channel.
When you change kids’ health, you change the future – for all of us.
