Root Beer Float Day

It’s Root Beer Float Day, and we’re thrilled to celebrate this sweet tradition with over 25 participating properties across South Florida!

Root Beer Float Day is more than just a delicious treat – it’s a day to make a difference in the lives of children in our community. This incredible initiative is brought to life by Marriot, whose founders, J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott, started their journey with a humble 9-seat root beer stand in Washington, D.C. Their legacy grew into a global hospitality empire, and in 1983, Marriott partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospital to raise funds for local member hospitals like Nicklaus Children’s.

Every donation made today helps kids like Barbie, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on her second birthday and was treated at Nicklaus Children’s. Thanks to donations through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Barbie was able to receive specialized care and is now in remission, thriving, and dancing every day.

Your generosity ensures that children in our community receive the specialized care, groundbreaking research, and quality treatment they need to thrive.
